Lytle Junior High Cross Country teams attended the District 28-3A Cross Country Championship Meet this past Wednesday, October 12, 2022.
In the 7th Grade Girls division, the team finished as District Runners-up. Finishing in the respective order, Elyse Cortinas in 2nd, Emma Emery in 6th, Zaira Farfan in 13th, Sophia Herrera in 18th, Ainsley Trammell in 25th, Kaycee Galindo in 28th place, and Maekala Mata who did not finish.
In the 8th Grade Girls division, the team finished as District Champions. Finishing in the respective order, Laleina Reveira as District Champion, Vanessa Ayala in 2nd, Addison Wagner in 8th, Avery Sanchez in 13th, Eliana Torres in 18th, and Mellanie Meza in 21st place.
In the 7th Grade Boys division, the team finished as District Champions. Finishing in the respective order, Adrian Reyna in 3rd, Luke Robles in 4th, Julian Lopez in 5th, Piercen Moreno in 6th, and Elijah Robles in 7th place.
In the 8th Grade Boys division, the team finished as District Runners-up. Finishing in the respective order, Nathan Garza in 2nd, Weston Jackson in 5th, Jaden Castro in 6th, Kash Friesenhahn in 21st, and Jayden Motes in 22nd place.
We couldn't be prouder of how far these student-athletes have grown on and off the course. The future looks promising for years to come. Please congratulate these students on a successful season if you see them around.
