Last Friday, October 14, 2022, the Pirate football team took on Hondo in Game 2 of District Play. We saw some significant improvement from the team and, despite an earnest effort by our Pirates, Hondo held a slight lead at halftime, 14-7. Our team battled through a tough 3rd quarter, but refused to give up. Our team is resilient. While it may not always show up on the scoreboard, our statistics, mentality, attitude and team culture have improved tremendously. This wasn't clearer than when our offense scored a second touchdown, with only seconds remaining, to finish the game strong. Our defense continues to swarm and our special teams continue to do a fantastic job with field position.
