Yesterday evening, October 27, 2022, the 7th Grade Pirates traveled down to Jourdanton to battle the Indians! To say it was a "good game" would be an understatement for sure. This could easily be the game of the year! The boys truly captured the "special" in special teams as they returned two kickoffs back for Touchdown's including the opening kickoff, to help set the aggressive tone we came to bring! The defense was going blow for blow with their juggernaut offense forcing tackles for losses, sacks, and turnovers on downs to help set up the offense with good scoring position. We would go into the half down 12-6, but determined to shock everyone wearing red! Falling behind by 2 scores, the Pirates' energy never wavered as always; as we would turn around to score 12 unanswered points with our second kickoff return and the go-ahead touchdown by the offense late in the 4th! Needing one final stop, the defense would step up with a game saving interception in the endzone to turn Jourdanton away from scoring and help retrieve the ball back for the offense! That would be all she wrote and the clock would hit triple 0's a few plays later with the score 18 all. The boys rose up to some personal challenges this week and gave an incredible performance. The message has been simple the past few weeks, "you can play with anyone, anywhere, anytime". Once again, they came out and proved this to be true! Please congratulate them on their tough performance! Thank you for the support of our team and their hard work all year long! It is definitely felt and appreciated!
