Good afternoon, Pirate Family! Last Friday, October 28, 2022, the Pirate Football team took on the Jourdanton Indians in Game 4 of District Play. The game started with offensive fireworks and after a forced fumble by Albert Aguilar and recovery by Luke Estrada, the sudden change led to a 29-yard touchdown strike by Toby Davila to bring the game to 15-7. It was great to see our team physically compete against the top ranked team in our District. Jourdanton had not given up any touchdowns in the last two games and only 21 total points in District play, up until last week. We never flinched. Throughout the season, especially the second half, this team has shown a new level of toughness. The game matters to them. The program matters to them. The coaches matter to them, and they to us. We also had several great plays made by some of our Junior Varsity players, who played up last week. They include Freshman Thomas Rubal, Jesus Garza, Chris Jacques and Chase Guevara.

Offensive standouts include Freshman Quarterback Toby Davila, Sophomore Wide Receiver Robert Inming, Junior Quarterback Drew Gonzales, and Offensive Linemen Freshman Devin Cordova, Sophomores Damien Ramon and William Davalos and Junior Hector Anaya.
Defensive/Special Teams Standouts include Sophomore Luke Estrada, Senior Albert Aguilar, Senior Roland Cordova, Junior Anthony Perdomo, Junior Drew Gonzales, Junior Amadeus Trejo-Perez and Sophomore Hudson Lindsay.
