The girls picked up two big wins during the Thanksgiving break and took their record to 6-4 for the season. On Monday, November 21, 2022, we beat Jourdanton 78-66. Then on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, they beat Pleasanton 83-46. The girls are starting to come together and are running the floor better, as well as getting easy layups. Cadee Martinez had two big games, scoring a total of 66 points in both. Her P-TECH teacher would not let her miss class on Tuesday, so she had to leave the game in the 3rd quarter, but she still scored 32 points. She is having a great year so far. Calyssa Sevier also scored big with 56 points in both games. Our defense is looking better and our press just needs a little more work, but we are getting there. It looks like we are starting to peak at the right time.
We will travel to play Devine on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, then we are off to the Navarro Tournament to see some great competition, December 1, 2022. The girls worked hard all Thanksgiving break. I am so proud of their dedication. Go Pirates!
