Last night, December 15, 2022, the 7th Grade Boys took on the visiting Crystal City.
The B-Team started with an enormous amount of energy and pace. It was a well-rounded game with enormous amounts of effort on the defensive side as the boys only allowed 5 points in the second half! They did an excellent job of converting their efforts into "hustle points" from their rebounding and extra possessions that allowed them to hold onto the win over a high-energy Crystal City team!
Final 18-13 Lytle!
After seeing an exciting thriller of a game, the A-team was ready to step on the court and battle for a win of their own. The game started fast and physical. The boys had to quickly adjust, but once they settled in, the game slowed down and the defense led the way, allowing for good stops and forced turnovers. Scoring was a bit difficult from the floor and the line. However, even with the shooting troubles, the game remained close throughout three quarters. 4th quarter turnovers are what would ultimately shut the door on any comeback for the boys. Their energy and effort never waiver, no matter the situation, which I am always proud of! Improvement is showing each game, and the turning of the corner is certain to come with this group soon!
Final Lytle 19 – Crystal City 26
The boys will pick back up on January 5th! Until then, have a safe and Happy Holidays!
