Last week finally slowed down for the Pirates after two back-to-back tournament weekends. The boys had 12 games in 12 days, and finished with 9-3 record over the twelve-day stretch.
This past week, December 13, 2022, the Pirates beat Stacey 83-56. Senior Jordan Balderaz had a game for the ages putting up 32 points and 14 rebounds. The Pirates defense had a decent night with 18 steals and five other deflections.

On Friday Night, December 16, 2022, the boys traveled to SA Memorial and won 103-40. Everyone got to play and it was a good team win. The Pirate defense had 28 steals in the victory. The Pirates will face a tough and physical SA Kennedy team at Kennedy High School on December 19.
The Pirates will be off for a week before heading to the Whataburger Invitational in Ft. Worth, Texas. The Pirates will face three teams ranked in the top ten in the state by TABC Hoops from divisions 3A and 4A. Wish them luck if you see them as they prepare for the invitational.
