Lytle Independent School District

What a great experience the Whataburger tournament was for this team. We played some of the best 1A-4A teams in the state and the girls competed at the highest level. We went 1-3. However, I am so proud of this team. We found out a lot about ourselves as we bonded and built the chemistry we will need if we plan to make another run in the playoffs. This team has been prepared. Now we just have to achieve the goals we have set. We finished the tourney with a 14-9 overall record for the season. The most important thing is we ended it all healthy! Thanks to all the parents that made the trip. 
 
We lost to Panhandle 66 – 51. 
We lost to Paradise 60 – 48. 
We lost to Nazareth, 59 – 51, though this was our best game defensively. 
We did beat the only other SA team. Lytle 55 – Cole 35.

• Cadee Martinez had 54 points, 9 rebounds, 9 steals and 5 assists.

• Katara Whitfield scored 19 points and 20 rebounds.
• Max Sessom had 13 points, 18 rebounds and 7 steals.
• Amelia Martinez had 7 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals.
• Arianna Garcia scored 2 points and 3 rebounds.
• Lunna Reyes had 3 rebounds.
• Rose Scotello had 2 rebounds.
• Jessica Mata had 1 steal and 1 rebound.
