Senior Joseph Araujo and Junior Hector Anaya played together for the first time this season and placed 3rd in the tournament for Boys Doubles (BD).
Senior Cambri Davila and Junior Lola Patino have been playing together since last season. They qualified for Regionals last year, but had hit a stalemate in their partnership- that is until Friday. They were able to put it all together and pull out a 3rd place finish in the tournament as well for Girls Doubles (GD).
When we travel to these tournaments, we play 3A to 6A schools, private schools and schools that have tennis programs throughout their levels. I am so proud of the entire team; they work hard and push themselves to improve daily. It is hard when your team has 27 athletes and you use two borrowed courts at the local park.
We appreciate the support from Dr. Breithaupt on Thursday.
We play again this Thursday and Friday at McFarlin TC in the SAISD#2 Chili Bowl Tourney.
