Baseball season has begun and it definitely started with a bang as the Pirates took care of Holy Cross in 5 innings on Monday, February 20, 2023, in Lytle.
Roland Cordova threw 4 great innings, striking out 9 batters while allowing 1 unearned run to grab the first win of the season. Roland was relieved by his brother Devin in the 5th.
Offensively, the Pirates were led by Jair Flores and Colin Wood each getting 2 hits and driving in 6 of the 11 runs.
We play next in the Marion Baseball tournament on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 11am vs Blanco, 3pm vs Marion and 7pm vs LaVernia. Saturday's game depends on how we do on Friday.
