If you weren't able to make it out to Walter H. Joyce stadium last night, September 7, 2023, then you missed out on an explosive performance by your Junior Varsity Pirates against the Pearsall Mavericks! Coming off a 22-6 victory last week against the Kennedy Rockets, the Junior Varsity Pirates were ready to keep their winning streak alive. Last night our Pirates' offense was firing on all cylinders and put 36 points on the scoreboard. The offensive touchdowns were scored by Jayden Motes with 2 touchdowns, Princeton Menchaca with 2 touchdowns, and Ethan Elizondo with 1 touchdown.
Our offense started up front with our offensive line, who helped open it up for our skill guys, and all seventeen of our offensive line guys contributed to us moving the ball. Our black attack defense once again put on a stellar performance by flying all over the field. The Pirates only gave up 6 points last night and were able to give the offense great field position all game. At one point, it seemed as if the defense was getting seven black helmets to the ball every play!
If you see these young men in the classroom or hallway, please congratulate them on a great performance. Thank you to everyone and all that you do for these student-athletes. GO PIRATES.
