"Mountain Moved!"
What a night it was for our town and our team on Friday, September 15, 2023! "Dig Deep" was on full display throughout the night, and it was such a beautiful atmosphere and environment to be a part of.
From start to finish, the game on Friday Night exemplified what Texas High School Football is all about. Two towns coming together that are separated by 5 miles to support their hometown teams, was an amazing sight to see. It had been 8 years since Lytle won the "Legacy Bowl", so our message was simple. I told the team it was time; it was time to "move the mountain"!
On Friday Night at 10:10pm, the mountain had been moved! As a team, we accomplished something special! But this is just the beginning. Our approach is to go 1-0 each week, and that will continue to be our goal. An amazing performance by the defense yet again that held the Mustangs scoreless in the second half. Offensively, the boys hit some speed bumps, but had some highlights along the way that led them.
Our culture. Our connection. Our community! It's because of the "Love" and "Leadership" displayed daily, we have such an amazing story being written. Our shovel continues to sharpen, and we are looking forward to another test this upcoming Friday Night.
