The Lytle Pirate Cross Country team traveled to Poth on Saturday, September 30, 2023, for the next to last Meet before the Championship season begins. All four groups ran with the minimum number of runners, 5, and every runner mattered. Each one had to step up due to absences. Three of the four teams captured the team title, with the Varsity Girls having a little trouble on Saturday.
The team has a short week as they will have their last Meet before District on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Medina Valley. It is probably the last chance for most to see the #2 & #4 teams in 3A. It's 9 miles away and on the way home for many of us. It will only be high school teams and the first race starts at 5pm and the last race is at 6:30pm. Come out and cheer the runners to the finish.
