Nine Lytle Pirates have been selected for the South Texas Coaches Association (STCA) All-Star Games taking place Saturday, May 16, in Floresville.
Chase Guevara and Darrius Garcia will represent Lytle in basketball during a 12 p.m. game at Floresville High School.
“Both our athletes were huge for us all year. Chase earned Offensive MVP of the district along with All-City and All-Region honors. Darrius Garcia spent four years in our program, earning First Team All-District and Sixth Man of the Year honors,” said Coach Vela.
Lytle also earned eight selections for the STCA All-Star Football Game: Devin Cordova, Travis Norton, Damien Barco, Toby Davila, Chase Guevara, Princeton Menchaca, Chris Jacques, and Thomas Rubal. Due to a conflict with the Regional Semi-Final Baseball Playoffs, Menchaca, Jacques and Rubal will represent Lytle without the rest of their teammates. We know they will make Lytle proud!
The All-Star Football Game will kick off Saturday at 7 p.m. at Eschenburg Field in Floresville.
These student-athletes have helped define Pirate culture through their leadership, dedication, and hard work. Lytle High School is proud of their accomplishments and wishes them the best as they represent the Pirates one more time.
