Dear Lytle ISD Pirate Families,
Yesterday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued an Executive Order (GA-34) lifting the mask mandate in Texas and increasing capacity of all businesses and facilities in the state to 100 percent.
At this time, all Lytle staff and students, as well as families who plan to visit a campus or attend school events/sports, are asked to continue to follow guidelines in the LISD Pirate Health and Safety Plan, which align with the CDC's guidelines for public schools. The plan requires wearings masks, distancing six feet apart when groups are gathered, and the use of plastic shields.

Our students, staff and Pirate families have done an extraordinary job of wearing masks in our buildings, school vehicles and buses, and at outdoor events. We believe this has kept our COVID-19 cases low, and Lytle schools, like many other public schools, have had very few cases of close contact spread during school hours.
Thank you for your patience and your continued support of the safety standards we have in place for our entire Pirate Family.
Sincerely,
Michelle Carroll Smith
