So many in our district have had the privilege of being a part of Calyssa's learning journey here at Lytle ISD, so for Feel Good Friday, I wanted to give each of you a chance to experience her Signing Day celebration.

 

 

I have enjoyed photographing this young woman as she competed over the years. She is absolutely gymnastic in her athletic performance and her game face is always sheer strength and determination - never a pout, or anger, or the emotions that hinder a top performance. Like Mr. Beard, I could go on about how proud I am of this young lady, but I'll leave you with a quote I borrowed from pro photographer Annie Leibovitz that sums up my feelings about the privilege I feel in having a job that allows me to photograph our students and you all from time to time. “A thing that you see in my pictures is that I was not afraid to fall in love with these people.”
