5-1-2022 Lytle Boys Track @ Region IV-3A Meet
This was an amazing ride that will continue for another few weeks at the STATE Track Meet in Austin. First, congratulations to all the track athletes who qualified for the Regional Meet this past weekend. These student athletes represented Lytle ISD with pride and I could not be prouder of their efforts.
On day 1, Jose Cortez finished the 3200-meter run 6th overall with his time of 10:49.31. On day 2, Alex Medina qualified for the finals and finished the Discus 3rd overall with his throw of 142' 11.5". In the 800-meter run, Robert Wagner placed 2nd with his time of 1:59.98 and qualified for the State Meet. Able Sanchez finished 8th with his time of 2:06.01. Finally, in the 1600-meter run Jose Cortez finished 5th with a time of 4:35.54 and Robert Wagner finished 13th in the field of 16 with a time of 5:01.96. Once again, to get to this point in the track season is remarkable and an effort to be proud of. All the athletes represented Lytle with pride.
