Last week, the Pirates went 2-0 in District play, beating Dilley 108-44 on January 6, 2023, and Hondo 80-58 on February 3, 2023.  

The game versus Dilley was a great team win highlighted by Senior Night. As a coach, I see my players graduate every year, but this group is special. All but one, including our Senior Manager, have been with me since 8th grade. So, the moment was a little more emotional than usual. This group got me to 100 wins as a Varsity Head Coach and has the potential to make a Regional Tournament run and go down as the best team in Lytle Boys Basketball history. Only time will tell.  

I am so proud of this senior class for everything they have accomplished so far. The Pirates will take on Crystal City tonight here in Lytle at 7:30 pm. Pack the gym; the Pirates have the opportunity to win District tonight with a win over the Javelinas. Hope to see you there!
