Yesterday, February 23, 2022, the Pirate tennis team traveled to Seguin to compete in a cold and damp Stockdale tournament. Despite the unfriendly tennis conditions, our athletes battled the elements and came home with some great honors.  

Girls Doubles: In their first tournament together as partners Cambri Davila and Lola Patino played some great tennis and competed well against some very good doubles teams. Congratulations on the ladies for coming home with a 4th place finish among 16 teams. 

Boys Singles: Zachary Bradshaw had a great showing this tournament, going against some good 4A and 5A competition. In the end, Zachary finished the day 3-1 and a 3rd place medal.  

Boys Doubles: The team of Diego Rangel and Michael Tomlinson continue to improve as they work their way towards District and a possible return to the Regional tournament. Yesterday the boys went 3-1 on the day, only losing in the championship match to a particularly good Randolph High School boys’ team. 

All our athletes continue to improve and look forward to our next tournament.
