4-15-2021 Pirate Tennis Earns Another Spot at Regionals

Yesterday, April 14th, the tennis team returned to Jourdanton for the last day of the District Tournament. The highlight of the day was a match up for the District 2nd place medal and a bid to the Regional Tournament. The 2nd place match was a battle between two Pirates, Zachary Bradshaw and Kyle Mueller and did they put on a great performance with one big shot after another and both boys playing their hearts out. In the end, Zachary pulled out the victory in a hard fought 3 set match 6-4, 2-6, 6-2, earning his spot for Regionals. Kyle will also attend Regionals as an alternate for his 3rd place finish.

It’s a bittersweet moment when a Senior is about to leave your program and we will truly miss Kyle who has worked hard over the course of the last 4 seasons in tennis, he has been a great mentor to our younger kids and we wish him nothing but the best moving forward.

In addition, the Varsity boys won the runner up District trophy, we are proud of this accomplishment and have District Champs in our goals for next season.
