On Thursday, January 19, 2023, the Junior High Boys basketball played the most complete basketball game played all year! The 8th Grade B-Team, led by the Awesomeness that the “Jop Shop” is, started things off the right way with a 30-9 victory. The team came out a little sluggish, but turned it on when it counted, and was led in scoring by Dwayne “The Rock” Reed and Jaden "Buckets" Castro, both with 12 points.  

The 8th Grade A-Team took the floor and from buzzer to buzzer played exceptional basketball. Ethan “The Force” Elizondo had his best game of the year on the defensive and offensive side of the ball. The scoring was well distributed throughout the team, which was led by no other than Seth “The Big Fundamental” Pierce, who had 14 points and played excellent defense.  

Weston “The Wildcat” Jackson had 10 points to go along with Ethan's 9 points, Jalen Rodriguez's 4 points, Nathan Garza's 4 points and Jaden Motes' 2 points. The boys won 44-11 and are still undefeated in District. The boys look to continue this streak on their way to a District Title title, which will continue next Thursday, January 26, here at home vs Hondo! Come out and support them for the last home game of the season and give them props if you see them for all of their early mornings and hard work.
