I read that students can schedule a live meeting with their teacher for support, outside of this will there be any weekly meetings or anything that gets the kids together as a "class?”

TEA does not allow required synchronous meetings for remote instruction. We strongly recommend student participation in scheduled online classroom meetings, but student grades or attendance credit cannot be affected in a negative or positive way.
