What is Skull Studios?
-
Skull Studios Club learn and practice skills to be journalists, photographers, video producers, graphics designers, and social media publishers. Students will create media products that showcase Lytle ISD events and stories.
Projects focus on increasing the communications and coverage of student, staff, academic, extracurricular, and community service activities across all Lytle campuses. Students receive credit for their contributions to media products and build their own digital portfolios that will open doors to future opportunities.
The Skull Studios Student Club is available for students who are interested in building their digital and media skills. Skull Studios students are provided opportunities to meet, create, compete, and further explore careers in all media technology fields during lunch and before/after school.

11-9-2023 2022-2023 Homecoming Highlights
An awesome Homecoming Football Game win and half-time Royalty Announcements made the night one to remember! The recognition given to our students who were chosen by their peers, and the honors bestowed on three community members chosen for their contributions to our schools and town made the night magical. If you missed it, check out the photos and read the highlights of those who got to be Lytle Pirate Royalty for the night.

8-23-2023 Junior High One Act Play
Junior High theater teacher, Mrs. Belinda Hughes (28 years of service with Lytle) always does an amazing job with her students and directs their plays. Last school year, she and her students enjoyed a great deal of success - winning first place in the district competition with their performance of The Dear Departed, A Comedy in One Act by Stanley Houghton. While Mrs. Hughes is very proud of his entire cast and crew. She was especially proud of three sixth grade students who were cast in the lead roles. 7-18-2023 Awesome Animations Created by Elementary Students!
Lily-Ann H. and Jordan M. really know what it takes to be a good teacher! Being Elementary students at Lytle surely helped them to experience these teacher traits, "A good teacher is smart, kind and knowledgeable, who will help any student succeed in life." These students had a great Smart Lab teacher, Mr. Rodriguez and they also had a wonderful student teacher/high school mentor, Stefan Grigsby - both hired to guide them in their learning at the Summer Animation Camp in June!

7-13-2023 Awesome Animations Created by Elementary Students!
It's no wonder our Primary and Elementary have been named Capturing Kids Hearts Showcase Schools for SIX YEARS IN A ROW! The ideas expressed in today's feature animation are a testimony to the values and respectful behaviors that are practiced all day, every day by staff and students. The Only Respect You'll Ever Need! was created by Lytle Elementary Students, Hemi V. and Juan E., with the help of High School Skull Studios Mentor, Clarissa Hernandez. Hemi V. took on the roles of writer, animation puppeteer and voice actor, and he shares, "I learned making videos is a lot of work. I also learned that I can't be afraid of starting over." These are valuable and mature lessons to learn so young!

Today we revealed the 2023-2024 Marching Band Show to our band students. We are incredibly excited about next year, and we are super proud of the Show Reveal that our students put together; so we wanted to share the video with everyone!

2-23-2023 Watch the UIL Young Filmmakers 1-3A State Champion Documentary!
On Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at the University of Texas' Lyndon B. Johnson Auditorium, seven of our top Digital Design / Skull Studios students had the thrill of watching one of our UIL Documentary Film Projects premiere on a theater screen to hundreds of their peers from across the state of Texas.

All three of the Skull Studios film entries made it to the semi-finals, and one of the documentaries, "Housing the Unhoused", was selected as a State finalist!

11-9-2022 Commercial Photography Student Creates Logo for the Keep Lytle Beautiful Committee
Members of the "Keep Lytle Beautiful" committee decided they wanted a logo to brand their efforts. After speaking with Lytle Mayor Ruben Gonzalez, committee members David Emery and Christopher Bowen looked at the logo for "Keep Texas Beautiful" - the state-level affiliate organization.

10-28-2022 2022 Lytle Elementary Costume Parade
Every year, Lytle Elementary teams up with our Central Office staff and they all dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes to put on a parade for parents plus the Junior High and High School campuses. This year, rain kept the ghouls, goblins, robots and Einsteins indoors, so this video brings the parade to you! Happy Halloween!
