  • 1-13-2020 Band All-Area Results

On Saturday, January 11th, nine Pirate Band students competed at the ATSSB Area South Auditions. As seen by the numbers below, only a very small percentage of the students who qualify for this level are chosen to advance to the All-State Band. Our students did very well at the auditions, and although we did not have any receive All-State honors, several were very close.

  • 10-28-2019 Area Results for Band

Saturday, October 26th, was the UIL Area E Marching Contest in Beeville. We were one of 31 bands in the Area that qualified for the contest. The band had a good run of their show with a few minor problems, but overall, I thought they did a great job. The judges seemed to agree, placing them 14th overall out of the highly competitive field. It was disappointing to come so close to being one of the 12 bands to advance to the finals that night but missing the finals by just two places is the closest we have ever come, and I must be pleased by that.
