  • 4-24-2022 Junior High Softball Recap

    These girls have continued to work hard and improve throughout their short season. Last Thursday, April 21, 2022, they traveled to Natalia, and 7th Grade defeated the Mustangs 10-7, a significant improvement over their showing from a few weeks before. 8th Grade fell 4-3, but played with incredible energy.

  • 4-21-2022 Varsity Softball Recap

    Last Tuesday, April 12, 2022, the girls were defeated in 8 innings against Dilley. Even though Lytle had 13 hits, our errors and Dilley’s 20 hits earned them the victory. Leading the offense were Calyssa Sevier, Natalie Pacheco, and Moriah Gomez. Each had multiple hits. Sevier also hit one over the fence with a runner on.

  • 4-11-2022 Varsity Softball vs Cotulla and Natalia Recap

    At the end of the second inning, the girls were trailing 2-3 but multiple hits earned 6 runs in the third to take the lead. Cotulla tied it up in the 5th 10-10 due to errors but in the 6th the girls pulled ahead by 1. Again, in the bottom of the seventh, Cotulla tied it up to force extra innings. The Lady Pirates managed to put up for 5 runs in the 8th and the defense was able to hold Cotulla to earn the win.

  • 3-29-2022 Junior Varsity Softball Recap

    The Lytle Junior Varsity Softball team continued to improve last week, getting closer to winning their games. On Tuesday, March 22, 2022, the girls took on Dilley at home and fell in three innings. The highlight of the game was the inside-the-park home run by Evelyn Diaz in the second inning, which drove in three runs.

  • 3-29-2022 Varsity Softball vs Karnes City

    The Lady Pirates scored seven runs in the third inning with huge bats by Kaylee Diaz and Bree Criswell, as well as a home run by Moriah Gomez. The Pirates racked up 18 hits on the day. Calyssa Sevier, Natalie Pacheco, Moriah Gomez, and Nayelli Pacheco all managed multiple hits. Natalie and Calyssa each collected four hits to lead the team. The Pirates also tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Pacheco led the way with three.

  • 3-24-2022 Varsity Softball Spring Break Recap

    It’s been a busy 2 weeks for the Lady Pirates. Over Spring Break, the girls earned two District wins and another win Tuesday, March 22, 2022. The District record is now 3-2.

  • 3-22-2022 Junior Varsity Softball Spring Break Recap

    The Lytle Junior Varsity Softball team competed hard over Spring Break in District action. Monday March 14, 2022, the Lady Pirates traveled to Natalia for an 11am game. They fought hard, but fell to the Lady Mustangs. Two days later Junior Varsity was back in action at Dilley High School for another morning contest. Although they improved, they still fell to the Lady Wolves.

  • 3-7-2022 Lytle Softball at Blanco Tournament

    This past weekend, March 4-5, 2022, the Varsity girls took part in the Blanco softball tournament. They finished 3-2 for the weekend, losing the first two to Crockett and Blanco. The girls then won against Bandera, Marion, and Pieper.

  • 2-16-2022 Junior Varsity Softball Wins on Opening Day!

    The Lytle Junior Varsity Lady Pirates opened up their season with a big home victory against Crystal City on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, winning in three innings. Offensively, the Lady Pirates bought into the "aggressive bunt and steal" game plan, and the hustle paid off; all three innings ended due to a mandatory five run rule per inning.

    4-20-2021 Junior High Softball vs Natalia

    Last night, April 19th, the Junior High Lady Pirates took on the cross-town rival, Natalia Mustangs. We had two teams compete last night. The Pirate B squad gave Natalia a run for their money but came up short 9-11. That group is getting better every game!

  • 4-13-2021 Junior High Lady Pirates vs. Jourdanton

    Last evening, April 12th, the Junior High Lady Pirates faced off against Jourdanton in some well-played softball games. We had great pitching by Addison Criado who had 7 strikeouts and only allowed 3 runs. The bats came alive for us as well. Hits from Anisaa Perez, Danica Martinez, Addison Criado, Alyssa Sprenger. Pirates win 1st game 12-3. Second game didn’t go as planned. Pirates lose in that match up. Record:1-3

  • 4-12-2021 Softball vs Cotulla

    Last Friday, April 9th, the girls travelled to Cotulla and despite a 4-run rally in the 7th inning they were unable to get the win. Final score was Lytle 7 - Cotulla 8.

  • 4-8-2021 Lady Pirate Softball vs Natalia

    April, 6th, the day has finally come where we have beat Natalia in softball! Despite a few errors allowing runs to score for the Mustangs, the girls answered back in the bottom of the 1st. Elysa Aleman, with a 3-2 pitch, hit a GRAND SLAM! Moriah Gomez tripled with runners on making the score 7-2.

  • 3-24-2021 Softball Recap - Dilley, Jourdanton, Cotulla

    After a scoreless first inning, Dilley managed to put a run across the plate after a wild pitch. The Pirates answered back and tied it up. Elysa Aleman hit a double and reached third on a stolen base. Emma Keith hit a single allowing Elysa to score. In the third, Clarissa Ramos triples off a throwing error and was batted in by Dylan Reyna. In the 4th Natalie Pacheco reaches three on an obstruction call and scores off a hit by Campbele Aldridge. 3 more runs crossed for the Pirates in the fifth inning all with two outs. Calyssa Sevier singles with a line drive to centerfield and gets to three after Natalie Pacheco hits a double to left field. Elysa hits a hard-line drive to center field scoring Sevier and Pacheco. Moriah Gomez earned the win for the Pirates. Gomez allowed four hits and one run over seven innings, striking out 10 and walking zero. The Pirates had ten hits and 3 strikeouts against Dilley.

    After a few games being cancelled due to the Snowstorm, the softball girls were able to play their first two games of the season.
