  • 10-12-2018 Lytle Cross Country 30-3A meet

The Lytle Cross Country team had the district 30-3A meet here in Lytle on Tuesday. Mother nature held off long enough for us to get the High School races in and Dilley was nice enough to host the Jr High yesterday.

  • 10-11-2018 JH Cross Country District Meet

Yesterday we couldn’t run through the sloshing puddle of the cross-country course. Thanks to a persistent Coach from Jourdanton we ran the Junior High District race in Dilley. It was the first time I had athletes compete in Dilley and we put an exclamation point to the high school races on Tuesday.

  • 10-4-2018 Junior High Cross Country

We began the races in Bandera with the seventh-grade lads and ladies toeing the line. 166 athletes lined up and as I reflected on the races I liken this to a Junior High Regional Championship race. Bandera had just won all the Junior High competitions in Poth. Del Rio came all the way from the valley and if you are going to drive that far you better be fast. Devine, Carrizo Springs, Boerne Middle school north and district foe Jourdanton were some of the teams there. We were missing one fast young lady who remained at home but the ladies did superb preparing for the district race. Samantha Mujica and Isabel Arce both medaled it the race.
