  • 7-26-2021 Free School Supplies for all Lytle Students, PreK-12 grades.

In case you don't follow district social media, I wanted to make sure all employees knew that our Lytle Leadership made the decision to buy school supplies for all Lytle ISD Students for the 2021-2022 school year. It was announced a couple weeks ago, and the community response to the posts on our Facebook pages and Twitter were beautiful sentiments of gratitude, amazement, and even tears of relief from parents. You, and everyone included on this email, are important members of a wonderful district family. When you make gratitude a habit...Everything will be better.

In April 2021, Graduating Senior Jordan Walker wrote an email to Lytle Primary Principal Jammie Fewell asking permission to see his second-grade teacher again. Jordan Walker knew Mrs. Naomi Schauer from his elementary school days. This year, Jordan graduated from Samuel Clemens High School and was prepared to move on to Howard Payne University, where he would be on the dive team. But before he launched into an exciting future, he was determined to find his second-grade teacher and tell her in person that she changed his life.

  • 5-6-2021 National Nurses Day - Thank you!

At the end of the 19th century, “The Lady with the Lamp”, or as she is more commonly known, Florence Nightingale, founded modern nursing. Thanks to her strict use of hand-washing and hygiene practices while caring for wounded soldiers in the Crimean War, Nightingale and her helpers reduced the death rate from 42% to 2%, ushering in nursing as we know it today. On May 6, we recognize the important role nurses play in our lives by celebrating National Nurses Day. In celebration of National Nurses Day, May 6th, thank you to all our District nurses for the incredible impact you have on keeping us healthy.
